The Young Adults –
The group is for ages 18 and older. For single and married. They meet together at 6 pm on Sunday evenings after worship time. They go to the Family Activities Center for devotions and ministry. Come and check out this new group and learn more about the LORD.
Women of Ministry –
What do we do? We meet on the last Sunday of the month during Fellowship Night (6 PM). Fellowship Night begins with a time of worship & music. We then break into groups and the Women’s group goes to the Fellowship Hall for a time of prayer, devotions & planning when needed.
At 7 pm all groups gather together (usually in the Fellowship Hall) for refreshments and snacks.
We also support (through prayer and giving items needed) Pregnancy Ministries, of Chambersburg. We have a collection site which is a cradle in the Foyer area. Each month we collect different items.
When one of our congregation comes home from the hospital, meals are provided. When there is a funeral, a meal will be provided afterward for family and friends.
Sometimes we host a Red Cross Blood Drive, we provide and serve food to those who have donated blood to help restore their energy.
This is just a few of the ways we minister to others and does not include the many ways each lady ministers to others on a daily basis.
Our church collects used eyeglasses or lenses to send to HealthCare Ministries to help those in other countries who cannot see. We have a collection box under the Foyer Table.
On Sunday, Feb. 4th, the Women of Ministry are having a Chili Cook-Off at noon. Proceeds of the contest will go to BGMC (Boys & Girls Missions Crusade).
Men’s Group – We have a Men’s Night Out the 3rd Tuesday of the month except the months when they meet for Breakfast on a Sat. morning (8:00 am). Watch the calendar for dates of the Breakfast meetings. Tuesday night meetings are a time of fellowship, devotions, and snacks. They meet at 6 pm in the Family Activity Center unless announced otherwise.
Grief Share – Active when there is a need among the people for this type of healing ministry for those who have experienced loss through death, divorce, etc.
